This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-30T17:00:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts frequently publish price targets and ratings based on fundamental analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders responding to a wider range of information, including news, sentiment, and even subtle indicators not captured in standard financial models. Discrepancies can arise from differing methodologies and the predictive power of market-based forecasts versus expert opinion. It’s a fascinating comparison to observe as Oct 30, 2026 approaches.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the crowd. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their assessments, creating a constantly evolving forecast. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds change with every trade.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, specifically at 1:15 PM ET on October 30, 2026. The outcome will be determined by whether the Microsoft stock price is higher or lower than its price at 1:00 PM ET on that same day. The final price will be verified against credible public reporting from established financial news sources. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions in the market, reflecting the accuracy of their predictions. It's a short-term snapshot of market direction.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Major earnings reports from Microsoft, unexpected economic data releases, and significant news regarding the tech industry as a whole are all potential catalysts. Changes in analyst ratings, large institutional investments, or even unexpected geopolitical events could also influence trader sentiment and shift the odds. Any news that alters the perceived future prospects of Microsoft is likely to impact trading activity and the price of contracts in this market leading up to Oct 30, 2026.
