This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-29T13:45:00Z

Currently, it's important to note that analyst forecasts and prediction market odds represent different types of information. Analysts typically provide point estimates or ranges based on fundamental and technical analysis. This market, however, reflects the aggregated beliefs of a diverse group of traders willing to put their money where their mouths are. While analysts may predict a certain direction for Microsoft stock, the odds here show the probability that traders assign to that outcome. It's a comparison of expert opinion versus the wisdom of the crowd, offering a unique perspective on potential stock movement.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will be up or down during the specified period. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the collective prediction of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market odds are constantly updated and responsive to new information.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 9:45 AM - 10:00 AM ET on October 29th is higher or lower than its price at the start of that period. The final price will be verified against credible public sources to determine whether the 'up' or 'down' outcome is declared. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on their predictions.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 29, 2026. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports, product launches, or significant partnership deals, could all cause substantial price swings. Broader economic news, including interest rate decisions, inflation data, or overall market sentiment, could also play a role. Unexpected geopolitical events or industry-specific news affecting the tech sector could also shift trader sentiment and move the odds. Any news that alters perceptions of Microsoft's future performance has the potential to impact this market.
