This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-29T17:30:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing a broader range of opinions and potential information. Discrepancies can arise due to differing assumptions, risk appetites, or access to unique data points. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporating event-specific factors or reacting more quickly to news than traditional analyst reports, offering a potentially more dynamic assessment of Microsoft’s near-term trajectory.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Microsoft’s stock will close higher or lower by the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contract will climb, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of those trading it.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Microsoft stock at 1:45 PM ET on October 29th will be compared to its opening price on the same day to determine if it went 'up' or 'down'. The resolution will be based on publicly available financial data and will be determined by the platform’s standard verification process, ensuring a transparent and reliable outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 29, 2026. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports, new product launches, or significant partnership deals, would likely cause substantial price fluctuations. Broader economic news, including interest rate decisions or macroeconomic data releases, could also impact investor sentiment and, consequently, the market. Unexpected geopolitical events or industry-specific news affecting the technology sector could also play a role in shifting the odds, making this a dynamic market to watch closely.
