Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-26T14:45:00Z

Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the Microsoft stock market tracks the current odds of the stock going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have changed over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $231, and the total volume traded to date, which is $232. This provides a real-time view of how traders are assessing the likely direction of Microsoft’s stock price around the specified date and time. The dashboard is designed to give you a quick understanding of market sentiment.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders betting real money on a specific outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, risk tolerance, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see this market diverge from consensus analyst expectations, particularly when anticipating short-term price movements or reacting to unexpected news.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Microsoft’s stock will be up or down during the specified timeframe. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the ‘up’ contracts, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 10:45AM-11AM ET on October 26th is higher or lower than its price at the start of the trading day. The final price will be sourced from a reputable financial data provider to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their predictions aligned with the actual stock price movement.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports, new product launches, or significant partnership deals, are likely to cause price fluctuations. Broader economic indicators, like inflation data or interest rate decisions, could also impact the stock market overall, and therefore this market. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in investor sentiment towards the technology sector could also play a role. Any news that alters perceptions of Microsoft’s future growth prospects has the potential to shift the odds.
