This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-23T14:45:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may offer long-term price targets based on fundamental analysis, this market represents a more short-term view of potential price movement. This is driven by traders reacting to news, sentiment, and events as they unfold. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can incorporate a wider range of information and collective intelligence, and are incentivized to be accurate. Comparing this market to analyst expectations can provide a valuable, contrasting viewpoint.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will be up or down during the specified timeframe. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd, and changes quickly as new information becomes available. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a constantly updated view of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price closed higher or lower than its opening price during the 10:45AM-11:00AM ET window on October 23rd. The final price will be sourced from standard financial data providers and will be publicly available. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their prediction aligned with the actual stock performance during that period.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 23, 2026. Major news related to Microsoft, such as earnings reports, product announcements, or significant executive changes, would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic indicators, like interest rate decisions or inflation data, could also impact the stock market as a whole and, consequently, this market. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in investor sentiment could also play a role, driving traders to adjust their positions based on perceived risk and opportunity. Any substantial news flow will be quickly reflected in the price.
