Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the META/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/meta-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink META/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-26T14:15:00Z

Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the Meta stock market tracks the current odds of the stock closing up or down during the specified timeframe. It displays the implied probability of each outcome, along with the total volume traded—currently $202—and the 24-hour volume, which is $199. This allows traders to quickly assess market sentiment and participation. The dashboard also provides a price history chart, illustrating how the probabilities have shifted over time, giving insight into how the market is reacting to news and information.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically provide point estimates or ratings (buy, sell, hold), this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, expressing beliefs as probabilities. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly when significant uncertainty surrounds an event. Examining these differences can be insightful, as the market may incorporate information that isn’t fully captured in standard financial models or public commentary. It's a real-time assessment of what traders believe will happen with the Meta stock.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Meta stock will close up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective sentiment of participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the odds are constantly adjusting as new information becomes available and traders update their expectations. The platform uses a standard market-making algorithm to ensure efficient price discovery and facilitate trading.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Meta Platforms, Inc. stock between 10:15 AM and 10:30 AM Eastern Time on October 26th will determine whether the market settles in the ‘up’ or ‘down’ direction. The resolution will be based on a widely recognized financial data source, ensuring an objective and transparent result. The final price will be publicly available shortly after the close of trading.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before it resolves. Major news regarding Meta's financial performance, such as earnings reports or revenue projections, would likely cause substantial price movement. Regulatory announcements, shifts in analyst ratings, or unexpected developments in the broader technology sector could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, macroeconomic data releases, like inflation figures or interest rate decisions, could indirectly affect the stock price and, consequently, this market. Any significant event impacting the overall market outlook has the potential to shift probabilities.
