Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Meta (META) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Meta (META) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Meta (META), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Meta (META) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/META/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Meta (META) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market odds represent a collective forecast based on traders’ willingness to buy or sell contracts. This differs from traditional analyst forecasts, which are often based on financial modeling and company reports. While analysts may offer price targets and ratings, this market provides a real-time, aggregated view of what individuals believe will happen with the Meta stock price. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies, information access, or simply varying levels of optimism or pessimism about the company’s prospects.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Meta stock price will be above a certain level by the resolution date. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their expectations, creating a constantly evolving assessment of Meta's potential future performance. This contrasts with fixed-price betting or static forecasts.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the closing price of Meta stock on that date. The market will determine whether the stock price is above or below a predetermined level, and payouts will be made accordingly to those who correctly predicted the outcome. This is a straightforward assessment of a publicly available data point.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major announcements from Meta regarding earnings, new product launches, or changes in leadership would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic trends, such as interest rate changes or shifts in investor sentiment towards technology stocks, could also play a role. Unexpected regulatory developments or significant competitive pressures within the social media landscape are additional catalysts that could move this market. Any news impacting Meta’s perceived future growth potential will be reflected in trading activity.
