This event tracks the highest temperature recorded in San Diego on a specific future date, using data from a designated weather provider. Participants assess the likelihood of different temperature ranges being reached, with outcomes determined by official weather measurements.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in San Diego (CLISAN) on October 20, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six distinct temperature range markets exist: 75° or below, 76-77°, 78-79°, 80-81°, 82-83°, and 84° or above. Each market resolves to Yes if the recorded temperature falls within its specified range. All markets share common secondary rules regarding data verification and error handling. The Weather Company’s data is the sole authority, though participants may reference other sources for guidance. Preliminary data may contain rounding or conversion discrepancies, requiring caution in interpretation. If the Exchange identifies a material error in the initial data publication, it may delay expiration until a corrected version is released or until the expiration date arrives, whichever occurs first. Should no data remain available by the expiration date, all markets resolve to the last fair price determined by Kalshi. The “Final” status on weather.com/kalshi is informational only and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt markets from these error-resolution procedures.
