On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of Ethereum being above the specified price on October 5th. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand, meaning increased buying pressure raises the price, indicating growing confidence in the outcome, while selling pressure lowers it. This creates a real-time assessment of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the price of Ethereum as recorded on a widely recognized exchange at a specific time on October 5th. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of whether the market resolves in favor of the 'yes' or 'no' outcome. Traders should monitor external sources for the official price data as it becomes available following the resolution date.
