This market tracks whether the price of Ethereum will be above $2,400 on October 13th. Currently, Polymarket gives a 100.0% probability to that outcome. Resolution will be based on the 12:00 PM ET Binance ETH/USDT 1-minute candle close on October 13th, as reported at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT. Traders should closely watch the price of Ethereum leading up to October 13th, 2026, as the Binance closing price at noon ET on that date will determine the market’s outcome.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Binance 1 minute candle for ETH/USDT closing at 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) on the date specified in the title has a final "Close" price higher than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT "Close" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT with "1m" and "Candles" selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs. Price precision is determined by the number of decimal places in the source.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional spot price expectations. While spot prices are driven by immediate supply and demand, this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of traders forecasting an event in the future. If the implied probability from this market significantly diverges from analyst forecasts or polls regarding Ethereum’s future price, it could indicate that traders possess unique information or a different interpretation of available data. This difference in outlook can be valuable for understanding market sentiment and potential price movements.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of Ethereum being above the specified price on October 13th. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s depth, shown by the bid and ask sizes, indicates how easily large trades can be executed without significantly impacting the price.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the price of Ethereum at a specific time on October 13th, as determined by a widely-recognized and publicly available price feed. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of whether the market resolves in favor of the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ outcome. Traders should monitor the market closely as the resolution date approaches to understand the potential implications for their positions.
