On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of Ethereum being above the target price on November 2nd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The platform uses a constant product formula to ensure liquidity and facilitate trading, meaning the price moves based on the relative supply and demand of contracts.
