This market refers to the Dota 2 Upper Bracket Quarterfinal 1 match between Team Yandex and LGD Gaming in the BLAST Slam Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 8, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Yandex" if Team Yandex win the match against LGD Gaming. This market will resolve to "LGD Gaming" if LGD Gaming win the match against Team Yandex. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 8, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may rely on team rankings and historical performance, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, incorporating a wider range of information and potential factors. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can quickly adapt to new information or changing perceptions about a team’s form. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights into the potential outcome of the match.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of a particular outcome. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that if many traders believe Team Yandex is likely to win, the price of contracts predicting their victory will increase, and vice versa. The current price represents the market’s best estimate of the probability of each team winning.
This market resolves around Oct 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the BO3 series between Team Yandex and LGD Gaming in the BLAST Slam Playoffs. The team that wins the majority of the games in the series will be declared the winner, and that outcome will determine the settlement of this market. Any potential disputes will be resolved based on publicly available, official tournament results.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the match concludes. Unexpected news regarding player health or roster changes for either Team Yandex or LGD Gaming would likely cause shifts in the odds. In-game performance during the series itself—such as a dominant early game by one team—will also have an immediate impact. Major upsets in other matches within the BLAST Slam Playoffs could also affect perceptions of team strength and influence trading activity in this market, as could any significant strategic announcements from either team.
