Currently, prediction market odds are reflecting a strong consensus regarding potential eliminations, though they can differ from traditional analyst forecasts. While some analysts may focus on dance technique or judge's comments, this market incorporates a wider range of information, including social media sentiment and betting patterns. It's common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets represent a collective intelligence that isn’t always aligned with expert opinions. The question is whether the wisdom of the crowd will accurately predict the week 4 eliminations, or if analysts’ qualitative assessments will prove more insightful.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular contestant being eliminated, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to reflect the latest information and trader sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will resolve based on which contestants are officially eliminated following the results of week 4 of Dancing With The Stars S35. The official results announced on the show will serve as the definitive source for determining the winning outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized and the results are publicly available.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Unexpected injuries to contestants, controversial judging decisions, or significant shifts in public opinion driven by social media could all impact trading activity. Performances during the live show will be a major catalyst, with strong or weak routines immediately influencing the perceived probabilities of elimination. Any news regarding contestant personal lives or behind-the-scenes drama could also introduce volatility. Traders will be closely monitoring these factors as they adjust their positions in this market.
