This market refers to the Counter-Strike Semifinal 1 match between HOTU and The Huns Esports in the Moscow Cyber Games Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "HOTU" if HOTU win the match against The Huns Esports. This market will resolve to "The Huns Esports" if The Huns Esports win the match against HOTU. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 31, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may rely on team statistics, player form, and strategic assessments, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their capital at risk. If analysts widely favor one team, but the market odds are more uncertain, it suggests traders perceive factors not fully captured by conventional analysis. Discrepancies can arise from information advantages held by traders or differing interpretations of available data. It’s valuable to consider both viewpoints when evaluating the potential outcome.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time assessment of the match's likely result. The platform doesn’t rely on external factors to set prices; instead, it’s purely driven by supply and demand within the market itself.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Counter-Strike: HOTU vs The Huns Esports (BO3) match within the Moscow Cyber Games Playoffs. The winning team, as determined by the tournament organizers and reported by reputable esports news sources, will dictate the settlement of this market. Any potential disputes will be evaluated based on official tournament results and established competitive gaming standards.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Unexpected news regarding player availability – such as injuries or visa issues – would likely cause shifts in the odds. Major strategic announcements from either team, or changes in their lineup, could also impact market sentiment. In-game performance during the series itself, even in the first map, could quickly alter probabilities as traders react to the unfolding events. Finally, any significant updates from the tournament organizers regarding the match schedule or format could also influence trading activity.
