This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 4 match between BIG and BetBoom Team in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Group A, initially scheduled for September 8, 2026 at 4:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "BIG" if BIG win the match against BetBoom Team. This market will resolve to "BetBoom Team" if BetBoom Team win the match against BIG. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 8, 2026 at 4:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Currently, prediction market odds often diverge from initial analyst forecasts, reflecting a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect. While many analysts initially favored one team, this market demonstrates how traders weigh different factors – team form, map pool, individual player performance, and even potential strategic shifts – to arrive at a collective prediction. It's common to see the market adjust rapidly as new information emerges, potentially correcting early biases present in pre-match analysis. This dynamic interplay between expert opinion and market sentiment is a key feature of prediction markets.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the current market consensus on the likelihood of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving collective belief. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism that attempts to accurately forecast the result of the BIG vs BetBoom CS2 match.
This market resolves around Sep 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-three series between BIG and BetBoom Team as reported by the tournament organizer. The team that wins the majority of the maps in the series will be declared the winner of this market. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed according to Predict’s standard procedures.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Unexpected roster changes for either BIG or BetBoom Team, news regarding player health or form, or even significant shifts in the meta-game within Counter-Strike 2 could all influence trader behavior. In-game performance during the series itself – for example, a dominant performance by one team on the first map – would likely cause a rapid adjustment in the odds. Any major upsets in other matches within the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Group A could also indirectly affect confidence in either team.
