This market will resolve according to the change in basis points in the target for the Selic rate resulting from the November 2026 meeting of the Bank of Brazil’s Monetary Policy Committee (COPOM), relative to the level it was prior to this meeting. The resolution source will be official information from the Bank of Brazil, including the statement or release from its November 2026 Monetary Policy Committee meeting, scheduled for November 3-4, 2026, as listed on the official Bank of Brazil calendar (https://www.bcb.gov.br/en/about/bcb-calendar?categoria=Monetary%20Policy%20Committee%20(Copom)). This market may resolve as soon as the statement or release of the Bank of Brazil's November 2026 Monetary Policy Committee meeting with relevant data is issued. If the specified rate is defined by an upper and lower bound, the relevant change will be the change to the upper bound. If the specified rate is changed to a level not expressed in the displayed options, the change will be rounded according to the following guidelines. Increases or decreases of less than 25 bps will be rounded to 25 bps (e.g. an increase or decrease of 10 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 25 bps). Increases or decreases of greater than 25 bps will be rounded to the nearest 25 bps and will be rounded away from 0 in cases of equidistance (e.g., an increase or decrease of 37.5 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 50 bps). Displayed options of “Increase” or “Decrease” will include policy rate increases or decreases of any size. If the specified meeting is postponed to a date and time before the start of the next scheduled meeting, this market will resolve based on the outcome of that postponed meeting. If the specified meeting is cancelled, or postponed such that no decision is announced by the start of the next scheduled meeting, this market will resolve to the “No Change” bracket. Emergency changes to the specified rate not resulting from the specified meeting will not be considered.

Comparing prediction market odds to spot price expectations requires looking at analyst forecasts and public polls regarding the Bank of Brazil’s upcoming decision. If analysts widely anticipate a specific outcome, we might see the corresponding probability on this market align with those expectations. However, prediction markets often incorporate information *before* it’s reflected in polls or traditional analysis, potentially offering a different perspective. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies or the market’s ability to synthesize a broader range of data points.
On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome of the Bank of Brazil decision. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective wisdom of the crowd. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are essentially betting on their assessment of the likelihood of various scenarios, and the market price represents the aggregated probability of each outcome. The more traders believe an outcome will occur, the higher the price of its corresponding contract.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official announcement made by the Bank of Brazil regarding their decision. The specific details of the decision will be assessed against publicly available information to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the verified result.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Nov 4, 2026. Any official statements or leaks from within the Bank of Brazil regarding their deliberations would likely have a substantial impact. Broader economic indicators related to Brazil’s financial stability and political developments could also influence trader sentiment. Unexpected policy changes or announcements from the Brazilian government, or even major shifts in global financial markets, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market, as traders reassess the probabilities of different outcomes.
