Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Apple (AAPL) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Apple (AAPL) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Apple (AAPL), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Apple (AAPL) trades governs.

Currently, this market reflects a different perspective than many traditional analyst forecasts for Apple. While some analysts predict continued growth, the aggregated predictions here, as expressed through trading volume, suggest a more nuanced outlook. It’s common to see discrepancies between prediction market probabilities and those offered by conventional financial analysis, as this market incorporates a wider range of information and perspectives from participants directly incentivized to be accurate. This difference highlights the unique value of prediction markets in gauging collective intelligence.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Apple stock price will be above a certain level on the resolution date. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as traders react to news, earnings reports, and other relevant events, adjusting their positions and influencing the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to changing conditions.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Apple stock on October 19, 2026, will be used to determine whether the market resolves in favor of the 'above' outcome or not. The resolution will be based on publicly available data from a recognized financial exchange, ensuring transparency and objectivity. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the final result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major announcements from Apple regarding new products or financial performance, shifts in broader economic conditions, and changes in investor sentiment towards the tech sector could all cause substantial price movements. Unexpected news related to Apple’s supply chain, regulatory challenges, or competitive landscape could also play a role. Furthermore, significant macroeconomic events, like interest rate changes or geopolitical instability, could indirectly influence the Apple stock price and, consequently, this market.
