Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the AMZN/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the AMZN/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the AMZN/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/amzn-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink AMZN/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-26T14:15:00Z

On Predict, the dashboard for the Amazon stock movement market tracks the current odds that Amazon’s stock price will be higher at 10:30 AM ET than at 10:15 AM ET on October 26. You’ll see the implied probability of each outcome, along with a price history chart showing how the odds have changed over time. Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may provide price targets based on fundamental analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders predicting a short-term price movement. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can quickly incorporate new information and reflect real-time sentiment. The question of whether prediction markets outperform analyst forecasts is a topic of ongoing debate, but they offer a unique and valuable data point.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Amazon’s stock will be up or down within the specified timeframe. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, creating the odds you see on the dashboard. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, and changes rapidly as new information becomes available or as traders adjust their positions. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the probability of the outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Amazon stock price at 10:30 AM ET is higher or lower than the price at 10:15 AM ET on October 26. The final price data will be sourced from standard financial data providers and will be publicly available. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome.

Several factors could significantly influence this market. Unexpected news regarding Amazon’s earnings, major product announcements, or changes in overall market sentiment could all cause shifts in the odds. Broader economic indicators released before Oct 26, 2026, such as inflation data or unemployment figures, might also impact investor confidence and, consequently, the stock price. Even seemingly unrelated events, like significant news affecting competitor stocks, could create volatility and move this market. Any surprise announcements or unforeseen circumstances have the potential to alter trader perceptions.
