Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Amazon (AMZN) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Amazon (AMZN) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Amazon (AMZN), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Amazon (AMZN) trades governs.

On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the future price of Amazon stock. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective sentiment of the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the probability that the stock will be above its current level on the specified date. Higher demand for 'yes' contracts drives up the price, increasing the implied probability, while increased selling pressure lowers the price and decreases the probability.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the closing price of Amazon stock on that date. If the closing price is above the current level, the 'yes' contracts will pay out; otherwise, the 'no' contracts will pay out. The exact closing price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider to ensure accuracy and transparency for all participants in this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Sep 21, 2026. Major company announcements from Amazon, such as earnings reports, new product launches, or significant strategic shifts, would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic indicators, including inflation rates, interest rate changes, and overall market sentiment, could also impact the stock price and, consequently, this market. Unexpected geopolitical events or industry-specific disruptions could also introduce volatility and shift trader expectations, leading to changes in the odds reflected in this market.
