This market will resolve to "Up" if the GOOGL/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the GOOGL/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the GOOGL/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/googl-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink GOOGL/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-30T17:00:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds represent a collective forecast of whether Alphabet’s stock will close higher or lower. These probabilities often differ from traditional analyst forecasts, which can be influenced by firm biases or individual stock-picking strategies. While analysts provide specific price targets, this market focuses on a simple directional outcome – up or down. Examining these differences can provide valuable insight into the wisdom of the crowd versus expert opinion, offering a unique perspective on potential stock movement. It’s a way to see if the market anticipates a different outcome than conventional financial analysis suggests.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the future price of Alphabet stock. The price of these contracts reflects the probability of the stock closing up or down. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on collective sentiment. The current implied probability is shaped by the bids and asks of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Alphabet stock on October 30th, between 1:00 PM and 1:15 PM Eastern Time, will determine whether the 'up' or 'down' outcome is triggered. The resolution will be based on publicly available financial data and widely accepted market standards. Traders will be able to see a clear determination of the result based on this established timeframe and price point.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 30, 2026. Major company announcements from Alphabet, such as earnings reports or new product launches, would likely have a substantial impact. Broader economic indicators, like inflation data or interest rate decisions, could also influence investor sentiment and move the market. Unexpected news events, such as regulatory changes or geopolitical developments, could also play a role. Any information that alters the perceived future prospects of Alphabet could lead to shifts in trading activity and a change in the probabilities reflected in this market.
