Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-10-16 10:00 UTC: if G2 Esports wins the series, the market will resolve to "G2 Esports"; if 100 Thieves wins the series, the market will resolve to "100 Thieves". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Currently, it's difficult to directly compare prediction market odds to analyst forecasts for this event. While analysts often provide pre-match predictions, these are typically qualitative assessments of team strength and strategy. This market, however, represents a quantifiable, aggregated prediction from a diverse group of traders. Discrepancies between analyst opinions and the market price could indicate areas where the crowd believes analysts are over or underestimating a team’s chances of winning, or where new information hasn’t yet been fully incorporated into traditional forecasts.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher its price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds reflect the most up-to-date information and sentiment surrounding the 100 Thieves vs G2 Esports match.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the 100 Thieves vs G2 Esports match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as officially declared by the event organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be paid out according to their positions in the market based on the confirmed outcome.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries or roster changes for either 100 Thieves or G2 Esports would likely have a substantial impact. Major strategic announcements from either team, or shifts in public perception based on recent performance, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected upsets in other matches leading up to the event, or even significant changes in the meta-game, are all potential catalysts that could shift the odds in this market.
