This market will resolve to "Up" if the XRP price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the XRP/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xrp-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream XRP/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
On Polymarket, the XRP Up or Down - June 5, 8:00PM-12:00AM ET market is priced as a binary outcome contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" during the specified window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the balance of buy and sell orders in the order book, with prices ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). Traders profit by correctly predicting the direction; those holding winning shares receive full payout at resolution. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust dynamically as new trades flow in. The spread between bid and ask reflects market liquidity and uncertainty around the outcome.
The market resolves at Jun 6, 2026, marking the end of the four-hour trading window on June 5th. Resolution occurs after the window closes and the final XRP price is confirmed. The outcome is determined by whether XRP's price at the end of the window is higher or lower than its price at the start of the 8:00PM ET window. Once the reference price is established, the market settles automatically and winning shares are credited to traders' accounts. The resolution process typically completes within hours of market close.
Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting XRP or the broader crypto market, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin or Ethereum price swings, and Ripple company news. Intraday volatility often spikes around Federal Reserve statements, inflation reports, or geopolitical developments that shift risk appetite. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can trigger momentum shifts if XRP approaches key price points. Social media sentiment, whale wallet movements, or exchange inflows may signal accumulation or distribution pressure. Market-wide liquidity events or derivative liquidations can amplify directional moves. Traders monitor these signals in real time to adjust positions as the June 5th window approaches.
