Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the XRP price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether XRP will move up or down by the June 27 deadline at 3PM ET. The interface shows the current probability assigned to each outcome, along with historical price data and trading activity. Traders can monitor how sentiment shifts as new information emerges, giving a live snapshot of market expectations around XRP's directional movement during this specific window.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, often diverging from current spot prices because they incorporate forward-looking sentiment and risk premiums. While spot markets show what XRP trades for right now, this market prices in expectations about directional movement over the next several months. Comparing the two reveals whether traders expect momentum, mean reversion, or consolidation—insights that spot prices alone cannot convey.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where each outcome's probability is determined by the ratio of shares held in the liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As traders buy or sell shares for either outcome, the odds shift dynamically to reflect the latest consensus. The current implied probability reflects the aggregate conviction of all market participants, updated continuously until the market closes.

This market resolves around Jun 27, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed based on XRP's price movement verified against credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether XRP's price has moved upward or downward from its reference level at the specified time. Once the event is observable and confirmed, the market settles and traders receive payouts according to the outcome.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting XRP or the broader crypto sector, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, Bitcoin or Ethereum price movements, and developments in Ripple's business partnerships or litigation. Technical levels and support/resistance zones can also trigger algorithmic trading. Market-moving news—such as exchange listings, institutional adoption, or changes in SEC policy—often cause sharp repricing as traders reassess directional odds ahead of the June 27 deadline.
