This group asks whether Visa (V) will exceed the consensus earnings per share (EPS) estimate in its next quarterly report. The markets rely on non-GAAP EPS as the primary resolution metric, with fallback mechanisms to GAAP EPS and SeekingAlpha data if non-GAAP EPS is unavailable. The estimated earnings release date is October 27, 2026, and the consensus EPS is $3.50.
As of market creation, Visa is estimated to release earnings on October 27, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Visa’s non-GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $3.50 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Visa reports non-GAAP EPS greater than $3.50 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the non-GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Visa releases earnings without non-GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the non-GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents; or, if not published there, according to the GAAP EPS provided by SeekingAlpha. If no GAAP EPS number is available from either source at that time, the market will resolve to “No.” (For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless it is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS.) If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced non-GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets reflect the selected street consensus estimate for non-GAAP EPS as of market creation. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: If multiple versions of non-GAAP EPS are published, the market will resolve according to the primary headline non-GAAP EPS number, which is typically presented on a diluted basis. If diluted is not published, then basic non-GAAP EPS will qualify. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Prediction market odds often provide a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically publish point estimates and ratings, this market aggregates the views of many traders who are incentivized to be accurate. This can lead to a more nuanced and potentially more accurate assessment of the probability of Visa beating earnings. Discrepancies can arise from differing information access, biases, or simply the wisdom of the crowd effect. It's valuable to consider both sources of information when forming an opinion on Visa's upcoming earnings report.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices for the Visa earnings market may differ between Polymarket and Predict due to variations in user base, trading activity, and market depth. Polymarket might attract a different class of trader than Predict, leading to differing opinions reflected in the prices. Additionally, the liquidity available on each platform – currently $2,426 overall – can influence price discovery. Different risk appetites and information access among traders on each platform also contribute to these discrepancies. While both platforms address the same question, these factors can create temporary divergences in the odds offered for this market.
This market is scheduled to resolve around Oct 27, 2026, following the official release of Visa’s quarterly earnings report. The outcome will be determined by whether Visa’s reported earnings per share (EPS) exceed the consensus estimate of financial analysts at the time of the report. The resolution will be verified against credible public reporting from financial news sources and Visa’s investor relations materials. Traders will then be able to see whether their predictions aligned with the actual earnings results.
Several signals could significantly impact the price of this market. Any news related to Visa’s performance, such as pre-earnings announcements, updates on transaction volume, or changes in consumer spending patterns, could influence trader sentiment. Broader economic indicators, like inflation data or interest rate decisions, could also play a role. Unexpected news about competitors in the payments industry could also shift the odds. Finally, major shifts in analyst ratings or price targets for Visa stock could trigger price movements in this market.
