As of market creation, Truist is estimated to release earnings on July 17, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Truist's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $1.08 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Truist reports GAAP EPS greater than $1.08 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Truist releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets are derived from SeekingAlpha estimates, and reflect the consensus of sell-side analyst estimates for GAAP EPS. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Prediction market odds reflect real-money bets from traders who profit or lose based on the actual outcome, creating a direct financial incentive for accuracy. Analyst forecasts, by contrast, are typically point estimates or ranges published by equity research teams. This market aggregates dispersed information and trader conviction into a single probability, often capturing sentiment that may diverge from published consensus. Comparing the two can highlight where the market sees risk or opportunity that traditional research may have underweighted.
On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the share price reflecting the market's implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares trading near higher prices indicate stronger conviction that Truist will beat earnings; lower prices suggest skepticism. The continuous order book allows traders to enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, and the spread between bid and ask prices reflects liquidity and disagreement among participants about the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once Truist's quarterly earnings announcement and guidance are public. The outcome is determined by whether reported earnings per share (or other key metric) exceed the consensus estimate that was in effect at market creation. Resolution is verified against credible public sources, including official company filings and widely cited financial data providers, ensuring an objective and transparent settlement.
Key catalysts include macroeconomic data affecting bank profitability, changes in interest rate expectations, credit quality trends, and any management commentary or guidance updates. Competitor earnings reports and broader financial sector performance can also shift sentiment. Analyst estimate revisions, rating changes, and news about loan losses or deposit flows may prompt traders to adjust positions. Closer to the earnings date, pre-announcement leaks or unusual trading activity in TFC stock itself can create sharp repricing in this market.
