This market will resolve to “YES” if the “Close” price of the TradingView (https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=TWSE%3AIX0001) 1-day candle for the TSEC Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX), based on regular trading hours only, is strictly greater than the price level specified in the title on May 29, 2026. Otherwise, the market will resolve to “NO”. For the purposes of resolution, all values will be rounded to two decimal places using standard rounding rules. If the Taiwan Stock Exchange is closed on May 29, 2026, the resolution moves to the “Close” of the prior regular trading session. If the TradingView data for the relevant 1-day candle is inaccessible or not published for more than 24 hours following the market close, resolution defers to the official TAIEX closing value for that trading day as published by the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (https://www.twse.com.tw/en/page/trading/indices/MI_5MINS_HIST.html).
Prediction market odds reflect real-money consensus from traders on Limitless, while analyst forecasts typically rely on econometric models, earnings guidance, and macroeconomic outlooks. Markets often price in forward-looking sentiment faster than traditional analyst reports update. For Taiwan's equity index, compare the current market probability to published research from financial institutions and regional equity strategists. Divergences may signal either market inefficiency or analyst lag in incorporating recent data on Taiwan's economic conditions and geopolitical factors.
On Limitless, this TAIEX event is priced through continuous order-book trading where buyers and sellers set the implied probability directly. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects market conviction about whether the index will breach the threshold by the resolution date. Pricing incorporates Taiwan's economic data, corporate earnings expectations, and regional market sentiment. As new information emerges—earnings reports, central bank decisions, or geopolitical developments—traders adjust positions, moving the price up or down to reflect changing odds.
This market resolves on May 29, 2026, when the Taiwan Index's official closing level for that date becomes available. The outcome is determined by whether the TAIEX's final close meets or exceeds the specified threshold. Resolution relies on the official closing price published by the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Once the market closes and data is confirmed, the event settles according to the actual index level, and traders' positions are finalized based on the binary outcome.
Key catalysts include Taiwan's quarterly GDP and inflation data, corporate earnings announcements from major index constituents, and monetary policy signals from Taiwan's central bank. Geopolitical developments affecting cross-strait relations or regional trade can shift sentiment sharply. Global factors—US Federal Reserve decisions, China's economic performance, and semiconductor demand—also influence TAIEX pricing since tech stocks dominate the index. Currency movements in the Taiwan dollar and shifts in foreign investment flows may drive index levels closer to or away from the threshold by May 29, 2026.
