This market will resolve to “YES” if the “Close” price of the TradingView (https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=TWSE%3AIX0001) 1-day candle for the TSEC Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX), based on regular trading hours only, is strictly greater than the price level specified in the title on July 3, 2026. Otherwise, the market will resolve to “NO”. For the purposes of resolution, all values will be rounded to two decimal places using standard rounding rules. If the Taiwan Stock Exchange is closed on July 3, 2026, the resolution moves to the “Close” of the prior regular trading session. If the TradingView data for the relevant 1-day candle is inaccessible or not published for more than 24 hours following the market close, resolution defers to the official TAIEX closing value for that trading day as published by the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (https://www.twse.com.tw/en/page/trading/indices/MI_5MINS_HIST.html).

Prediction market odds reflect real-money consensus from traders who profit or lose based on accuracy, creating a direct incentive to incorporate the latest data and expert analysis. Traditional analyst forecasts, by contrast, are often published at discrete intervals and may lag emerging information. This market aggregates dispersed knowledge from participants trading on the index's likely close, offering a dynamic alternative to static analyst calls. Comparing the two reveals whether professional consensus and decentralized market pricing align or diverge on Taiwan's economic outlook.
On Limitless, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the share price directly reflecting the implied probability. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome's price falls, ensuring the market continuously reprices based on new information and order flow. The current odds shown on the dashboard represent the last executed trade price, while the order book displays pending bids and asks that shape the next transaction.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the trading window closes and the event outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether Taiwan's TAIEX index closes above the specified threshold on that date. Participants' positions settle based on the confirmed closing level, with winning traders receiving their payout and losing positions expiring worthless. The exact settlement is determined by official market data published by Taiwan's exchange.
Key catalysts include Taiwan's economic data releases, central bank policy announcements, and geopolitical developments affecting regional stability and investor confidence. Corporate earnings reports and semiconductor sector performance matter significantly, given the index's heavy weighting toward tech stocks. Global monetary policy shifts, particularly from the U.S. Federal Reserve, influence capital flows into emerging markets. Currency movements, trade tensions, and cross-strait developments can also trigger sharp repricing as traders reassess the probability of the index closing above the threshold by July 3, 2026.
