This market resolves “YES” if the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) of South Korea announces, in its official monthly KTB issuance plan press release for August 2026 published at https://ktb.moef.go.kr/eng/news.do, that it plans to issue Korea Treasury Bonds worth approximately an amount equal to or greater than 16,000 billion won in August 2026 through competitive bidding. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO". "Approximately" is part of MOEF's standard release format and does not affect the threshold. If the August 2026 KTB Issuance Plan press release has not been published on the primary source or its Korean-language version (https://ktb.moef.go.kr/nesDta.do) by July 31, 2026, 23:59 KST, this market resolves “NO”. If the resolution source is unavailable at the moment of resolution, a consensus of credible reporting will be used.

Prediction market odds represent decentralized trader consensus rather than institutional analyst views. While financial analysts may publish forecasts on South Korean government debt issuance based on budget cycles and fiscal policy statements, this market aggregates real-money bets from diverse participants. The two approaches differ fundamentally: analysts rely on models and policy analysis, whereas prediction markets incorporate market incentives and information efficiency. Comparing the implied probability here to published analyst estimates can reveal where the crowd sees asymmetric risk or information advantage.
On Limitless, traders buy and sell shares representing YES (at least ₩16T issued) or NO (below that threshold) outcomes. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate; a YES share trading at 0.65 implies roughly 65% odds of the outcome occurring. Liquidity and order flow determine how quickly prices adjust to new information, and the spread between bid and ask reflects market depth and uncertainty around the August 2026 issuance decision.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, after the August 2026 issuance period concludes. The outcome is determined by whether South Korea's official Treasury Bond issuance volume reaches or exceeds ₩16 trillion during that month. Resolution will be verified against credible public sources, including announcements from South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance or the Korea Development Bank, ensuring accuracy and transparency once the event is verifiable.
Key catalysts include South Korea's quarterly budget announcements, changes in domestic interest rates, shifts in government fiscal policy priorities, and macroeconomic conditions affecting debt demand. Central bank communications regarding monetary tightening or easing could influence Treasury issuance plans. International factors such as US Treasury yields, currency movements, or credit market stress may also prompt Seoul to adjust bond supply. Official pre-announcements or guidance from the Ministry of Economy and Finance closer to August 2026 would likely trigger sharp repricing as traders incorporate concrete policy signals.
