Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) does not trade at all during the regular session of the final trading day of the week, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.OPEN%2FUSD.

Frequently asked questions

The Opendoor weekly price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movement for whether OPEN will close above a specified threshold during the week ending July 17. Traders monitor live bid-ask spreads, order book depth, and cumulative volume to gauge market sentiment on Opendoor's stock performance. The dashboard displays 24-hour volume alongside longer-term trading activity, helping participants assess liquidity and conviction behind each outcome. This data refreshes continuously, enabling traders to spot momentum shifts and adjust positions before market close.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because traders incorporate real-time information, options positioning, and sentiment that equity research may lag. While Wall Street analysts publish periodic reports on Opendoor's fundamentals and valuation, this market reflects live consensus from active traders betting capital on weekly price movement. Analysts typically focus on longer-term catalysts and intrinsic value, whereas prediction markets price in near-term volatility, earnings surprises, and macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in risks analysts have overlooked or dismissed.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on order flow and liquidity depth. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the current price reflecting the probability implied by recent trades. As more capital flows into one side, the price moves to rebalance supply and demand. The spread between bid and ask widens or tightens depending on volume and volatility, directly affecting the cost of entry and exit for participants.

This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the trading week concludes and Opendoor's closing price is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources to determine whether OPEN finished above the specified price level. Resolution typically occurs within hours of market close, allowing traders to settle positions and collect winnings. No manual intervention or dispute process is required if the data is unambiguous and sourced from authoritative financial reporting.

Earnings announcements, guidance revisions, or management commentary on real estate market conditions could trigger sharp price swings in this market. Broader equity selloffs, interest rate shifts, or housing data releases may also influence trader positioning ahead of week-end close. Insider transactions, activist involvement, or analyst downgrades can shift sentiment rapidly. Intraday volatility spikes, options expiration dynamics, or unexpected macroeconomic news could create trading opportunities or force liquidations, causing the odds to reprice significantly in the final days before resolution.
