This market will resolve to "Yes" if NextEra Energy's operating revenue for the upcoming second fiscal quarter, as reported in its official company earnings materials, is above the listed amount. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The specified metric will be considered as reported in the company's official earnings materials. Subsequent revisions will not be considered. If the specified company's official earnings materials for the specified quarter are released, and the specified metric is not included, this market will resolve to "No". If the specified company does not release quarterly earnings materials for the specified quarter by August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". If the specified metric is reported as a range rather than a specific number, the midpoint of the range will be used for resolution of this market. The resolution source for this market is the specified company's official company earnings materials, including press releases, investor presentations, and regulatory filings. If the specified metric is not reported in these materials, recordings or transcripts of the company's earnings webcast may also be used. Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst consensus because they incorporate real-time trader conviction and financial incentives absent in surveys. While equity analysts publish earnings estimates and revenue guidance based on models and company communications, this market prices the same question through continuous trading. Analysts may lag in updating forecasts, whereas traders react immediately to news, earnings calls, and macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the implied probability here to published analyst ranges reveals whether the market is pricing in more optimism or caution than the consensus view on NextEra's Q2 operating revenue.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares, with the price of each share directly representing the probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker (AMM) model, meaning liquidity is provided through a smart contract pool rather than a traditional order book. As traders purchase yes or no shares, the price adjusts algorithmically to balance supply and demand. The current odds reflect the marginal trader's view; large trades can shift prices significantly, especially in lower-liquidity markets. Settlement occurs when the outcome is verified, and winning shares are redeemed at full value.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once NextEra Energy's Q2 financial results are publicly available and verifiable. The outcome is determined by comparing the company's reported operating revenue against the specified threshold embedded in the market title. Resolution relies on credible public sources, typically NextEra's official earnings announcement, SEC filings, or widely cited financial databases. Traders should monitor the company's investor relations calendar for the exact earnings release date, as the market will settle shortly after official confirmation of the revenue figure.
Key catalysts include NextEra's quarterly earnings call, any material changes to energy demand or wholesale power prices, regulatory decisions affecting utility revenues, and macroeconomic shifts impacting consumer and commercial electricity consumption. Weather patterns, fuel costs, and renewable energy output also influence utility revenue. Management guidance updates or revisions to full-year forecasts can shift expectations for Q2 results. Additionally, broader market movements in utility stocks and interest rate changes may affect trader sentiment. Real-time news on grid reliability, major customer contracts, or policy changes could trigger significant price swings as traders reassess revenue probabilities.
