As of market creation, Moderna is estimated to release earnings on July 31, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Moderna's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $-2.06 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Moderna reports GAAP EPS greater than $-2.06 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Moderna releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets are derived from SeekingAlpha estimates, and reflect the consensus of sell-side analyst estimates for GAAP EPS. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst consensus because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual research reports. While Wall Street analysts publish earnings estimates and price targets based on models and company guidance, this market aggregates the beliefs of traders betting their capital on the actual outcome. Analysts may be anchored to prior guidance or slow to update, whereas traders react immediately to news, macro shifts, and earnings whispers. Comparing the market's implied probability to the consensus earnings estimate can reveal whether traders expect a beat or miss that analysts haven't fully priced in.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares representing "yes" (beat) or "no" (miss) outcomes, and the price of each share reflects the crowd's aggregate belief in that outcome's likelihood. As more capital flows into one side, the price adjusts to balance supply and demand. This continuous pricing mechanism means the odds you see are always current and responsive to new information, news flow, and shifting trader conviction about Moderna's earnings surprise potential.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once Moderna's quarterly earnings results are publicly announced and verified. The outcome is determined by whether the company's reported earnings per share (or net income, depending on the exact market terms) exceeds the consensus estimate that was in effect at market creation. Resolution is confirmed once the earnings figure is verifiable from credible public reporting, such as Moderna's official earnings release or major financial news outlets. Traders should monitor the company's earnings calendar and any guidance updates leading up to the resolution date.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before resolution. Moderna's product announcements, clinical trial results, or regulatory approvals can alter revenue and profit expectations. Macroeconomic data, interest rate changes, and sector-wide biotech sentiment also influence the stock and earnings outlook. Management commentary during conferences or investor calls may hint at near-term performance. Analyst upgrades, downgrades, or revised earnings estimates can sway trader positioning. Finally, any guidance updates or pre-announcements from Moderna itself will likely trigger sharp repricing. Tracking these signals helps traders anticipate market moves and adjust positions ahead of the earnings release.
