Description

As of market creation, Microsoft is estimated to release earnings on July 29, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for Microsoft's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $4.21 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if Microsoft reports GAAP EPS greater than $4.21 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If Microsoft releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets are derived from SeekingAlpha estimates, and reflect the consensus of sell-side analyst estimates for GAAP EPS. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the MSFT earnings beat market dashboard displays real-time odds and trading activity for whether Microsoft will exceed quarterly earnings expectations. The interface tracks the current probability, historical price movements, and 24-hour volume to help traders monitor sentiment and liquidity. This dashboard lets you watch how market participants are pricing the likelihood of an earnings beat as new information emerges and the resolution date approaches. Volume data and price history provide transparency into how conviction has shifted over time.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst consensus because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual forecaster opinions. While sell-side analysts publish earnings estimates and price targets, this market aggregates the collective bets of traders who profit or lose based on actual results. Comparing the implied probability in this market to the percentage of analysts expecting a beat can reveal whether traders are more or less optimistic than the consensus. Both signals matter: analysts bring deep research, while markets embed up-to-the-minute information and risk appetite.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader bets into a continuous probability between 0 and 100. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the price you see reflects the current balance of buy and sell orders. As more traders bet on a beat or a miss, the price adjusts in real time. This mechanism ensures transparent, friction-free pricing and allows you to enter or exit your position at any moment before resolution.

This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once Microsoft's quarterly earnings results are publicly announced and verified. The outcome is determined by whether the company's reported earnings per share or revenue exceed the consensus expectations set before the announcement. Resolution is confirmed against credible public reporting from financial news sources and official company filings. Traders should monitor Microsoft's earnings calendar and any pre-announcement guidance that may shift market expectations in the final days before the event.

Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before resolution. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, interest rate decisions, or tech sector trends—often influence earnings expectations. Microsoft-specific events, such as cloud revenue guidance, AI product announcements, or competitive developments, can reshape trader conviction. Analyst downgrades or upgrades may also trigger repricing. Additionally, any pre-earnings commentary from management or changes to consensus estimates can cause sharp moves. Traders should track earnings whisper numbers and options market implied volatility as proxies for expected surprise magnitude.
