This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/META/history, published under "Historical Prices." In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance.

Prediction markets like this one often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they incorporate real-time trader sentiment and aggregate dispersed information across many participants. While Wall Street analysts publish periodic earnings forecasts and price targets for Meta, this market reflects continuous updates from traders responding to breaking news, earnings surprises, and macroeconomic shifts. Prediction markets tend to be more dynamic and forward-looking than static analyst reports, though both sources offer valuable perspectives on Meta's near-term stock performance.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker mechanism where buying shares pushes the price up and selling pressure drives it down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the collective assessment of all active traders on the platform. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100%) represents the market's confidence that Meta will finish the week above the specified price level. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices adjust to new information.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the trading week concludes and Meta's closing stock price for that period is verified. The outcome is determined by whether Meta's stock finished above the specified threshold during the target week. Resolution is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting, such as official exchange data or widely cited financial news sources. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome receive their winnings based on the odds at which they entered their position.
Meta's stock price during the week of July 6 could be influenced by quarterly earnings announcements, changes in advertising demand, regulatory developments, or shifts in broader tech sector sentiment. Major product launches, management commentary on AI investments, or macroeconomic data affecting consumer spending could all trigger significant price swings. Additionally, broader market movements—such as Federal Reserve policy signals or changes in interest rates—often correlate with tech stock performance. Traders monitor these catalysts closely to adjust their positions ahead of resolution.
