This market will resolve to "Yes" if Johnson & Johnson's MedTech revenue for the upcoming second fiscal quarter, as reported in its official company earnings materials, is above the listed amount. If the specified company does not release quarterly earnings materials for the specified quarter by August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". If the specified metric is reported as a range rather than a specific number, the midpoint of the range will be used for resolution of this market. The resolution source for this market is Johnson & Johnson's official company earnings materials, including press releases, investor presentations, and regulatory filings. If the specified metric is not reported in these materials, recordings or transcripts of the company's earnings webcast may also be used. Note: This market will resolve based on the most numerically precise version of the specified metric reported in the company's official earnings materials. Only the specified metric will be considered; alternate versions that differ in definition or scope from the specified metric will not be considered.

Prediction market prices often diverge from consensus analyst estimates because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than single-firm projections. Traders in this market incorporate earnings guidance, historical growth trends, and macroeconomic signals to price the outcome. When analyst consensus shifts or new data emerges—such as product performance updates or market conditions—prediction odds typically adjust faster than formal forecast revisions, making this market a leading indicator of expected MedTech revenue performance.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism, where buying or selling shares moves the price based on available liquidity. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the aggregate of all trades placed on the platform. Participants buy YES shares if they expect MedTech revenue to exceed the threshold, or NO shares if they expect it to fall short. Prices update continuously as new orders flow in, and the spread between bid and ask reflects market uncertainty and trading volume.
This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, once Johnson & Johnson reports its Q2 financial results and MedTech segment revenue is publicly disclosed. The outcome is confirmed when the reported figure is verified against credible public sources, including the company's official earnings announcement and SEC filings. Traders holding the correct outcome receive their payout based on the final resolution price at that time.
Key catalysts include J&J product launches, regulatory approvals or setbacks, competitive announcements, and macroeconomic shifts affecting healthcare spending. Quarterly guidance updates, analyst upgrades or downgrades, and industry conference presentations can shift trader expectations. Clinical trial results, reimbursement policy changes, and foreign exchange movements also influence MedTech revenue forecasts. Any material news about J&J's surgical, orthopedic, or diagnostic device portfolios may trigger rapid repricing as participants adjust their conviction about whether the revenue threshold will be met.
