Description

As of market creation, CoStar is estimated to release earnings on July 28, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for CoStar's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $0.10 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if CoStar reports GAAP EPS greater than $0.10 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If CoStar releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets are derived from SeekingAlpha estimates, and reflect the consensus of sell-side analyst estimates for GAAP EPS. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: For the purposes of this market, GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the CoStar earnings beat market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity around whether CoStar will report quarterly earnings that exceed analyst consensus estimates. The dashboard displays current market pricing, historical price movements, and trading volume to help you monitor how traders are positioning ahead of the earnings announcement. This snapshot of the CoStar earnings beat market reflects live sentiment from prediction market participants who are wagering on the company's ability to deliver a positive earnings surprise.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst consensus because they incorporate real-time trading by informed participants with financial skin in the game. While Wall Street analysts publish earnings estimates and revisions based on company guidance and historical trends, this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who profit or lose based on actual outcomes. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market is pricing in higher or lower confidence in a beat than the analyst community consensus suggests, offering a complementary perspective on earnings expectations.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares representing "yes" or "no" outcomes, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. Higher prices indicate stronger confidence in a beat; lower prices suggest skepticism. This continuous pricing mechanism allows you to enter or exit positions at transparent, market-determined rates throughout the trading window.

This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once CoStar's quarterly earnings results are publicly announced and verified. The outcome is determined by comparing the company's reported earnings per share or net income against the consensus estimate that was in effect at the time the market was created. If actual results exceed that benchmark, the "yes" outcome prevails; if they fall short or match consensus, "no" wins. Resolution is confirmed once the earnings figures are verifiable from credible public reporting.

Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before resolution. Guidance revisions or management commentary on business trends may alter expectations for the quarter. Macroeconomic data affecting commercial real estate—CoStar's core market—could reshape sentiment. Competitor earnings or industry reports may provide context for CoStar's likely performance. Analyst upgrades or downgrades can influence the consensus estimate itself. Additionally, any company-specific announcements regarding product launches, customer wins, or operational challenges will likely trigger repricing as traders reassess the probability of an earnings beat.
