On September 24, 2026, Bitget suffered an exploit of approximately $387.5 million and announced that it was suspending withdrawals (https://x.com/bitget/status/2103236552482848927). This market will resolve to "Yes" if Bitget resumes withdrawals by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Bitget must actually resume withdrawals for this market to resolve “Yes”. The resumption of withdrawals will qualify, even if partial in scope or if withdrawals are limited to certain assets, amounts, or subsets of users. Announcements of plans or intended timelines to resume withdrawals will not qualify. Isolated user reports of successful withdrawals will not alone qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Bitget, including clear designations on its platform that withdrawals are available; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Comparing prediction market odds to spot price expectations involves assessing whether the implied probability of Bitget resuming withdrawals aligns with analyses from cryptocurrency analysts and industry observers. If the odds on Polymarket suggest a high probability of resumption by a certain date, it indicates traders believe the exchange is likely to resolve its issues and restore functionality. Conversely, lower probabilities reflect greater uncertainty or pessimism about a swift resolution. This market provides a forward-looking assessment that differs from simply observing current withdrawal status, offering a unique perspective on future expectations.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Bitget will resume withdrawals by the specified date. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more shares purchased, the higher the price, and the greater the implied probability of a successful resumption. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of market participants and their assessment of available information regarding Bitget’s situation.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether Bitget has officially announced and demonstrably implemented the full resumption of withdrawals for all users. The determination will be based on publicly available information, such as official statements from Bitget, news reports from reputable financial media, and verifiable user reports confirming the ability to withdraw funds. The focus is on a complete restoration of withdrawal functionality, not partial or limited resumption.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Official announcements from Bitget regarding progress on resolving withdrawal issues, updates on regulatory investigations, or statements from key stakeholders would be major catalysts. Positive news, such as a successful audit or a partnership to restore funds, could drive up the price of shares. Conversely, negative developments, like further regulatory scrutiny or reports of ongoing technical difficulties, could lower prices. Broader market sentiment towards cryptocurrency exchanges and the overall health of the crypto ecosystem could also influence trading activity in this market.
