This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Apple (AAPL) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/history, published under "Historical Prices." In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where each outcome's probability is derived from the ratio of shares outstanding. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability for the top outcome reflects accumulated buy and sell orders; as traders deposit capital and trade shares, prices adjust in real time. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence price stability and the ease of entering or exiting positions. Wider bid-ask spreads typically appear during low-volume periods, while tighter spreads emerge as more traders participate.
This market resolves around Jun 19, 2026, once the trading week concludes and Apple's closing price is finalized. The outcome is confirmed through verified public reporting of AAPL's official closing price on the relevant date. Traders who correctly predicted whether the stock would finish above the specified threshold receive their winnings, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution is deterministic and based on widely available, independently verifiable market data.
Apple's stock price is sensitive to earnings announcements, product launches, macroeconomic data, and shifts in tech sector sentiment. Unexpected guidance revisions, supply chain disruptions, or major competitive developments can trigger sharp repricing. Broader market events—such as Federal Reserve policy shifts, inflation reports, or changes in interest rate expectations—also influence equity valuations and trader positioning. Intraweek volatility in the broader market or sector-specific news can cause rapid swings in implied probability, creating opportunities for active traders to adjust their exposure.
