Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Apple (AAPL) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Apple (AAPL) does not trade at all during the regular session of the final trading day of the week, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Apple (AAPL) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.AAPL%2FUSD.

Frequently asked questions

The Apple weekly price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and trading activity for whether AAPL will close above a specified price level during the week of July 20. The interface displays current market probability, historical price movements, and volume of $3,634 in total trading activity. Traders use this data to monitor sentiment shifts and position themselves ahead of the market close. The dashboard updates continuously as new trades execute, giving participants a live view of how the crowd is pricing this specific weekly outcome.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money conviction rather than consensus estimates. While Wall Street analysts publish weekly or monthly targets based on fundamental models, this market aggregates the beliefs of traders who have direct financial exposure to the outcome. Analyst forecasts tend to lag market repricing during volatile weeks, whereas prediction markets adjust instantly to breaking news, earnings surprises, or macroeconomic shifts. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional traders are more bullish or bearish than the consensus view.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability quotes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is represented as a contract, and the price of that contract directly reflects the crowd's estimated likelihood. As traders buy or sell, the price adjusts algorithmically to balance supply and demand. This mechanism ensures continuous liquidity and transparent price discovery throughout the trading week, allowing participants to enter or exit positions at any time before resolution.

This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the trading week concludes and Apple's closing price is finalized. The outcome is determined by verifying AAPL's official closing price against the threshold specified in the market. Confirmation comes from credible public financial data sources that report the weekly close. Once the price is confirmed, the market settles automatically and traders receive payouts based on which outcome occurred.

Several catalysts can shift odds significantly during the week. Earnings announcements, product launches, or regulatory news about Apple typically trigger sharp repricing. Broader market moves—interest rate decisions, tech sector rotation, or macroeconomic data—also influence AAPL momentum. Insider trading disclosures or activist investor activity can sway sentiment. Additionally, options expiration, index rebalancing, or changes in analyst ratings mid-week often correlate with price swings. Traders monitor these events closely to anticipate directional moves before the Friday close.
