This event group tracks whether Amazon (AMZN) stock will close above various price thresholds ($225–$285) on Friday, June 12, 2026, the final trading day of the week of June 8, 2026. Markets compare the June 12 closing price against the prior week's close (June 5, 2026: $246.16585) or resolve based on whether the price exceeds each specified strike level.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/history, published under "Historical Prices." In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance.
This market will resolve to "Up" if the Close price for Amazon (Pyth AMZN/USD) on June 12, 2026 is strictly higher than the Close price for Amazon (Pyth AMZN/USD) on June 5, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The Close price for Amazon (Pyth AMZN/USD) captured on June 5, 2026, was $246.16585. Resolution source: Pyth AMZN/USD price feed. Other exchanges, spot markets, and oracles will not be used. For example, a weekly Friday market would ordinarily compare that Friday's Close price with the previous Friday's Close price, unless that previous Friday was a market holiday. In that case, it would compare against Thursday's Close price, or the next most recent trading day. If Amazon (AMZN) does not trade at all during the regular session on June 12, 2026, this market will resolve to "Down". For a standard full trading session, the Close price refers to the "Close" value of the 1-minute Pyth candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If either relevant trading day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the last valid Pyth price during that day's regular trading hours will be used as the effective Close price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which AMZN is listed will be used to determine the Close price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting AMZN during the relevant time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth.
Key catalysts include Amazon earnings announcements, cloud revenue guidance, AWS competitive pressures, and broader tech sector sentiment. Macroeconomic data such as inflation reports or Fed rate signals can shift the entire market. Regulatory news around antitrust or labor practices may impact investor confidence. Short-term technicals, options expiry flows, and index rebalancing can also drive intraweek volatility. Geopolitical events or competitor announcements may reshape growth expectations, moving AMZN sharply in either direction before the week closes.
