This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/history, published under "Historical Prices." In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance.

Prediction market odds often diverge meaningfully from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money incentives and live market-clearing prices rather than static research notes. On this market, traders continuously reprice their beliefs as new information arrives, whereas analyst forecasts typically update on a quarterly or event-driven basis. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus estimates from equity research desks can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in tail risks or optimism that Wall Street has underweighted. This dynamic repricing often makes prediction markets a leading indicator of sentiment shifts before formal analyst revisions.
On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing "Yes" (AMZN closes above the target) or "No" outcomes, with the share price directly reflecting the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The order book aggregates bids and asks, and the last-traded price serves as the market's real-time odds. Liquidity and trading volume determine how easily participants can enter or exit positions without significant slippage. As new information surfaces—earnings beats, analyst downgrades, or broader market moves—traders adjust their positions, pushing the price up or down until supply and demand rebalance.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the trading week closes and AMZN's final price is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the closing price on the specified date finishes above or below the stated threshold. Traders holding winning shares receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution is objective and tied to official market data, removing ambiguity and ensuring all participants operate under identical settlement rules.
Earnings announcements, guidance revisions, and macroeconomic data releases are primary catalysts that shift this market's odds. Broader equity market rallies or selloffs, changes in interest rates, and shifts in tech sector sentiment also influence Amazon's weekly price action. Company-specific news—such as AWS performance updates, regulatory developments, or management commentary—can trigger sharp repricing. Additionally, options expiration dates, index rebalancing, and algorithmic trading flows during the final days of the week often create volatility. Monitoring financial news and tracking options positioning helps traders anticipate potential moves before they materialize in the prediction market.
