The market resolves on Aug 4, 2026, following the official Ann Arbor Democratic mayoral nomination process. Resolution is determined by the candidate officially designated as the Democratic nominee by the party or through the primary election, depending on local procedures. Key catalysts include candidate debate performances, major endorsements from local officials or organizations, campaign fundraising reports, and media coverage of candidate platforms. Withdrawal or entry of candidates will significantly shift odds for remaining contenders. Local issues such as housing policy, public safety, or development projects may elevate certain candidates if they resonate with Democratic primary voters. Polling releases, town halls, and grassroots organizing efforts can also move markets. Unexpected scandals or gaffes involving frontrunners could rapidly reshape nomination probabilities.
