Description

This event tracks political support dynamics by focusing on whether a specific public figure will publicly back a candidate in an upcoming legislative race before a set date. It captures the potential influence and strategic alliances in competitive electoral environments.

Kalshi

The event resolves based on whether Russell Fry issues a qualifying public endorsement for any candidate in the 2026 South Carolina Senate race before August 25, 2026. A valid endorsement requires a clear, affirmative statement of support for a candidate’s election, made publicly and specifically referencing the 2026 South Carolina Senate race. The endorsement must originate directly from Russell Fry or through official channels. If Fry endorses exactly one candidate before the deadline, that candidate’s market resolves to Yes at $1.00, and all others resolve to No. If multiple candidates receive endorsements, each endorsed candidate’s market resolves to Yes at a prorated value of ($1.00 divided by the number of endorsed candidates), rounded down to the nearest $0.01. If no qualifying endorsement occurs by the deadline, the "No one" market resolves to Yes at $1.00, and all named-candidate markets resolve to No. Additionally, if any candidate withdraws or is no longer in the race before an endorsement is confirmed, their market may resolve to No at the Exchange’s discretion.
