On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an individual will attend, the higher the price of shares related to their attendance will climb. Conversely, if sentiment shifts, the price will decrease. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of attendee likelihood based on trader activity.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on official attendee lists or widely reported confirmations of attendance at King Harald V’s funeral. The market will determine which outcomes are considered correct based on verified attendance, and payouts will be distributed accordingly. This process relies on publicly available information to establish a definitive record of who attended the event.
Several factors could influence this market before it resolves around Sep 13, 2026. Official announcements regarding the guest list, or statements from royal households about expected attendees, would likely cause significant movement. Unexpected health developments affecting potential attendees could also shift probabilities. Major geopolitical events or shifts in diplomatic relations might influence which world leaders choose to attend. Finally, media reporting and public speculation, particularly if sourced from credible insiders, could also impact trading activity and the overall probabilities in this market.
