This event tracks whether Bitcoin's price will surpass a key benchmark within a defined timeframe starting from a specific date. The outcome depends on real-time price data measured against a standardized index, with multiple possible windows for achievement.
All markets resolve based on the CF Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI) using a trimmed mean calculation. The resolution value is derived by aggregating BRTI values from market issuance until the specified expiration time, removing the top and bottom 20% of values, and averaging the remaining 60%. If Bitcoin's price exceeds $75,000 at any point during the measurement window—starting August 19, 2026, and ending on the respective market's target date before 11:59 PM ET—the market resolves immediately to Yes. Should no data be available at the exact expiration time, the market resolves to No. Early resolution occurs if the price threshold is definitively crossed prior to the target date and time, regardless of the specific market's expiration window.
Compared to analyst forecasts, prediction market odds for this market often reflect a blend of short-term trader sentiment and recent price action. Analysts may incorporate longer-term fundamentals, macro trends, and macroeconomic indicators into their projections, while traders on Kalshi react more quickly to news, whale movements, and market momentum. This can lead to divergence, especially during periods of high volatility or major events like Federal Reserve decisions.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where buyers and sellers submit bids and asks. The current implied probability reflects the weighted average of all active orders, adjusting instantly with each trade. Market depth, recent price swings, and overall trading volume of $58,130 all influence how traders assess the chances of Bitcoin hitting $75k before Oct 10, 2026.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. If Bitcoin’s price closes above $75k at any point before then, the market settles accordingly based on transparent, publicly available data.
Several signals could shift odds in this market. Major announcements from central banks affecting global liquidity may drive Bitcoin toward new highs. High-profile institutional inflows, large exchange listings, or regulatory clarity in key markets could also provide momentum. Conversely, macroeconomic setbacks, security breaches, or prolonged market corrections might push prices below $75k, altering trader expectations before Oct 10, 2026.
