This event group tracks whether Donald Trump will utter specific phrases during August 2026. The markets cover a wide range of phrases from political terminology to casual expressions, with resolution based on recorded verbal mentions during the specified timeframe.
This market will resolve to “Yes” if Donald Trump mentions the listed term between August 1, 2026, 12:00 AM ET and August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A ‘mention’ will include any verbal mention which is recorded (audio or video) and publicly accessible. Written usages of terms (e.g. Truth Social posts, written statements, etc.) will not count toward this market's resolution. Videos posted on his social media which were filmed outside this market's time frame will not qualify for a "Yes" resolution. For full rules, see: https://polymarket-upload.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/market_products/Mentions/Period+Mentions+Contract+DeFi.pdf
All markets resolve based on the number of presidential actions published on the "Presidential Actions" tab of whitehouse.gov by 10:00 AM ET on August 9, 2026, covering the period from August 2 to August 8, 2026. Each market has a different threshold, ranging from 1 to 15 actions, that must be met for the market to resolve to Yes. Actions include proclamations, executive orders, nominations, appointments, and memoranda. The resolution depends solely on the publication dates displayed on the website, and any action not listed on the "Presidential Actions" tab by the specified time does not count, regardless of when it was signed or emitted. Examples clarify that only actions officially published by the deadline count, while those emailed, backdated, or listed in other sections do not contribute to the tally.
Several signals could shift odds in this market before it closes. High-impact media interviews, scheduled speeches, or surprise announcements from advisors may all influence trader sentiment. Additionally, broader political developments—such as polling shifts or policy debates—might affect expectations about what is likely to be said in August. Keep an eye on both formal events and informal commentary that gains traction online.
