These markets track specific words and phrases that Donald Trump may mention during his appearance on The Hugh Hewitt Radio Show. Resolution depends on whether Trump speaks in an official capacity during the live broadcast and uses the exact phrase or word specified in each market, including plural or possessive forms.
Resolution is based on analysis of the live broadcast or stream of The Hugh Hewitt Show (Radio), with video as the primary source and official transcripts as backup if consensus cannot be reached. Trump must speak in an official capacity for the event to qualify; inaudible private conversations or unofficial statements do not count. Only content from the original broadcast or stream is considered—additional content is excluded. For each phrase or word tracked, the exact term must be used, including plural or possessive forms, though other grammatical and tense inflections are not required. Plural nouns within proper nouns and noun phrases are included. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify under these criteria, or if Trump does not appear or does not speak in an official capacity, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the event is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-money bets from many participants rather than relying on a single expert opinion. In this market, traders are pricing their expectations about Trump's statements during the radio appearance based on his historical patterns, recent news, and their own analysis. While political analysts may issue qualitative assessments, prediction markets quantify those views into explicit probabilities. This market's odds reflect the collective judgment of participants willing to stake capital, which can sometimes outperform individual forecasts, though both approaches carry uncertainty about future events.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is quoted as a price between 0 and 100 cents, reflecting the implied probability that Trump will mention a particular topic or statement during the Hugh Hewitt appearance. As new information emerges or trading interest shifts, the price adjusts in real time. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by correctly predicting which outcomes will occur. The spread between bid and ask prices represents the cost of immediate execution.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, after The Hugh Hewitt Radio Show episode airs and the content becomes publicly available. The outcome is determined by verifying Trump's actual statements against credible public sources, including the broadcast recording, official transcripts, and reputable news coverage. Once the event is confirmed and the specific statements or topics are documented, the market settles according to which outcomes match the verified record. Traders should monitor the broadcast and official sources to understand how their positions will be adjudicated.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before Jul 28, 2026. Breaking news about Trump's recent statements or policy positions may change trader expectations about what he will say on air. Announcements regarding the interview format, timing, or topics Hugh Hewitt plans to cover could influence positioning. Historical precedent from Trump's previous radio appearances and recent public comments also inform market pricing. Media speculation and social media discussion about the interview may attract new traders and shift sentiment. Finally, any last-minute changes to the broadcast schedule or cancellation would materially impact the market's trajectory.
