Donald Trump is scheduled to appear on The Axios Show for an interview. These markets track whether Trump mentions specific words or phrases during his official remarks in the broadcast.
Resolution is based on Donald Trump speaking in an official capacity during The Axios Show. Video of the broadcast will be the primary source for resolution, with official transcripts used if video consensus cannot be reached. Each market resolves to Yes if Trump uses the exact phrase or word specified (including plural or possessive forms), with grammatical and tense inflections otherwise not counted. The entirety of the original broadcast content is used for resolution. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify under the payout criteria, or if Trump does not speak in an official capacity (such as inaudible private conversations or unofficial hot mic statements), the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the event is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives rather than opinion polling. In this market, traders who correctly predict Trump's statements stand to profit, creating pressure for prices to converge on accurate probabilities. Analysts may rely on historical patterns or qualitative judgment, whereas this market aggregates dispersed information from many participants with skin in the game. Over time, prediction markets have demonstrated competitive accuracy against expert forecasts, particularly for events with clear verification and active trading interest.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction executed—and moves dynamically as new orders arrive. Shares are quoted between 0 and 100 cents, representing implied probability. Liquidity and spreads vary by outcome; more heavily traded statements typically show tighter bid-ask gaps. Your entry and exit prices depend on available orders at the time of your trade.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once Trump's appearance on the show has aired and statements can be verified. The outcome is determined by comparing his actual remarks against the predefined statement categories tracked in the market. Resolution relies on credible public reporting and video evidence from the broadcast to confirm which statements were made. All traders receive payouts based on the verified outcome, with winning shares worth 100 cents and losing shares worth zero.
Market odds will shift based on news about the scheduled appearance date, any pre-show statements Trump makes, and broader political developments that might influence his messaging. Changes to the show's format, guest list, or timing could also trigger repricing. As the air date approaches, traders may adjust positions based on recent polling, media narratives, or Trump's recent public comments. Breaking news or unexpected political events in the weeks before the appearance could significantly alter probabilities for certain statements, creating trading opportunities for those monitoring developments closely.
