These markets track specific words and phrases Donald Trump may mention during a press conference in Turkey. Resolution depends on whether Trump speaks in an official capacity during a live, press-open televised or streamed event, with video as the primary source and official transcripts as backup.
Resolution requires Donald Trump to speak in an official capacity during a live, press-open televised or streamed press conference in Turkey. Video of the event serves as the primary resolution source; if Kalshi employees cannot reach consensus from video, official internal or external transcripts will be used. Each market resolves Yes if Trump uses the exact phrase or word specified (including plural or possessive forms), with grammatical and tense inflections otherwise disregarded. Plural nouns within proper nouns and noun phrases are included. Only content from the live broadcast or stream counts; previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify, or if Trump does not speak in an official capacity (such as inaudible private conversations or unofficial hot-mic statements), the "Event does not qualify" market resolves Yes and all other markets resolve No. If the event is postponed but rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations and often diverge meaningfully from traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may rely on historical patterns or qualitative judgment, this market prices expectations through real-money incentives—traders profit only if their predictions prove correct. For political events like press conferences, markets can capture nuanced shifts in sentiment faster than published polls or expert commentary. Comparing current odds to analyst views helps identify where the crowd sees opportunity or risk that mainstream forecasters may have missed.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts tied to specific outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each contract represents a binary bet on whether a particular statement will be made during the press conference. The price of each contract—ranging from 0 to 100 cents—reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new information arrives or sentiment shifts, bids and asks adjust in real time, allowing you to enter or exit positions at market rates.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the press conference concludes and statements can be verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources—such as official transcripts, video recordings, or reputable news coverage—to determine which predictions were accurate. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the event, allowing traders to see final payouts quickly. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as traders update their expectations based on pre-event developments or emerging context.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before the press conference takes place. Breaking news about Trump's recent statements or policy positions may prompt traders to reprice expectations. Media coverage speculating on likely topics—geopolitics, domestic policy, or personal matters—can influence sentiment. Polling data, social media trends, or statements from other officials may also signal what themes dominate the conversation. As the event date approaches, increased trading volume often reflects heightened attention, and last-minute developments can trigger sharp repricing in final hours.
