During a G7 press conference, President Trump will address international media on topics ranging from geopolitical tensions to economic policy. Resolution will be based on whether Trump uses specific words or phrases during his official remarks in a live televised or streamed event open to the press.
Resolution is determined by whether President Trump speaks specific words or phrases during an official G7 press conference that is live-televised or streamed and open to the press. Trump must speak in an official capacity; inaudible private conversations or unofficial statements do not qualify. The exact phrase or word must be used, including plural or possessive forms, though grammatical and tense inflections are otherwise not required. Plural nouns within proper nouns and titles are included. Resolution uses live broadcast or stream video as the primary source; official transcripts serve as secondary verification if video consensus cannot be reached. Previously aired content, archival footage, or recordings from separate events do not count. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify, all outcome markets resolve to No and the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes. If postponed with announcement by the following calendar day to a date within 14 days, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual expert opinion. In this market, traders betting on what Trump will say are motivated to price outcomes accurately or lose capital, creating a self-correcting mechanism. Analyst predictions, by contrast, may rely on historical patterns or stated intentions without the same financial accountability. Comparing this market's odds to published commentary from political analysts or media forecasters can reveal where the crowd sees higher or lower probability than expert consensus.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices range from near zero to near one dollar, reflecting the implied probability of each statement or topic being mentioned. Traders profit by correctly predicting what will be said, and the market price converges toward the true likelihood as more information becomes available and more participants trade.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, after the G7 press conference concludes and remarks are available for review. The outcome is determined by verifying what the former president actually said during the event against credible public sources, including official transcripts, video recordings, and reputable news coverage. Once the statements are confirmed, the market settles based on which outcomes occurred, and traders holding winning shares receive their payouts.
Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Statements from Trump or his advisors about his G7 agenda may increase or decrease the likelihood of certain remarks. Developments in international relations, trade negotiations, or geopolitical tensions could influence what topics he prioritizes. Media reporting on his planned talking points, leaks from preparation meetings, or shifts in his public messaging all provide signals traders monitor. As the conference date approaches and more details emerge about the agenda, this market will likely see increased volatility and volume.
