This event tracks whether Donald Trump uses specific words or phrases during his next official White House livestream on the main @WhiteHouse YouTube channel after June 22, 2026. Each market resolves Yes if Trump speaks the designated term in an official capacity during a press-open, live-televised event.
Resolution is based on video of the first White House livestream on the @WhiteHouse YouTube channel after June 22, 2026 at 1:12 pm ET (excluding Remarks at Mack Trucks). If video consensus cannot be reached, official transcripts will be used. Trump must speak in an official capacity; inaudible private conversations or unofficial statements picked up on a hot mic do not qualify. The event must be opened to the press and be live televised or streamed. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. The exact phrase or word must be used, including plural or possessive forms; grammatical and tense inflections are otherwise not required. Plural nouns within proper nouns and noun phrases are included. Additional source agency streams may be used if technical outages occur or the White House ends the stream prematurely.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and collective trader intelligence rather than individual expert opinion. In this market, traders are betting directly on what will be said, which can surface insights that formal analysis misses. Analysts may rely on historical patterns or prepared remarks, while prediction markets incorporate late-breaking signals and crowd sentiment. Comparing the two reveals where consensus is strong and where uncertainty remains—useful context for understanding which outcomes the market views as most likely versus which remain genuinely contested.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share pays out a fixed amount if that outcome occurs, so the current bid-ask spread reflects the market's true belief about likelihood. Prices range from near-zero for unlikely statements to higher levels for those traders view as probable. Liquidity and trading volume drive tighter spreads, making it easier to enter or exit positions at fair prices.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the announcement has taken place and the content is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing Trump's actual remarks against the specific statements or topics defined in each market option. Resolution hinges on clear, documented evidence of what was said—typically video, transcript, or widely reported coverage. Once the event concludes and the facts are established, the market settles and winning positions are paid out.
Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Leaked excerpts or advance statements from Trump's team would immediately reprrice expectations. Major news events or political developments in the weeks leading up to the announcement could influence what topics he addresses. Social media posts or interviews hinting at his planned remarks would likely trigger trading activity. Additionally, shifts in related political markets or polling data might indirectly affect trader confidence. As the announcement date approaches, any official scheduling changes or venue announcements could also drive volatility in this market.
